The question whether the Whangarei, Hikuraugi, Parua Bay, Waipu and Waikiekie Co-operative Dairy Companies should export their butter through the Whangarei Freezing Company or the Auckland Freezing Company has particularly been settled in favour of Auckland. Three weeks ago Mr A. Rowlands, of the Whangarei Freezing Company, made an offer to a conference'of representatives of the above dairy companies, with the exception of the Waikiekie Company to whom the offer was communicated from the conference. The offer included the erection of a special store, Is per box to cover the total cost cf storage and export. Th:> Auckland rate was Is l%d. The local conference, three weks aji formed an executive to which the re spective companies, Whangarei, .Hikurangl, Parua Bay, Waipu and Waikiekie should forward their decisions by a given date.
