AN OLD IDENTITY

William Monaghan, a well-known | local identity was killed on the railway line at KHorslie last nijjht. it is presumed that h< l fell off the train, or, finding that he was carried past his stopping place, he got oil" at the iiext station and was walking back along the railway line to Ellorslie whori he was overtaken by a train. Deceased was 70 years of age and he wa* a wealthy man. He figured in the Supreme and Bankruptcy Courts several times. On one occasion his solicitor statod that Mouoghan was worth between £10,000 and £14,000.
