SURPLUS OF VOLUNTEERS. (Press Assn.—Reed. J0.2F1 jv.m.) LONDON, April 19. The "London Star" says that the nation is ; furnishing volunteers faster than the War Office can arm them. Any attempt to impose conscription on a people making sacrifices so eagerly and readily would be an insult that would be fiercely resented. .
