RESUME IN TWO MONTHS.
As a result of the lire a'largo number of men will be temporarily thrown out of employment. At the Heads .establishment there were between 40 iand GO men engaged. There will, of course, be a general disruption in business arrangements- but the manager expects that in two months' time the works will be in full swing again. All this year the average killing has been fifty head of beef per day; last week 320 head of cattle, or sixty per day, were put through. The arrangements made for dealing with a regular stream of stock like this will naturally require and receive im.mediate readjustment.
