At the wool sales held to-day thcr.a was a record entry of 12,220 bales. Prices all round an increase on the corresponding sales of last year. The finer wools were in good demand, averaging Id increase; coarser wools 1 Id. increase. Bush wools .also showed improvement, sellers realising Sd to 9d per lb. The best prices at the morning sales were 12d for crossbred, merino and Shropshire, and ll£d for coarser varieties.
