Another Peace Rumour.
GERMANY AND BELGIUM,
(Press Assn.—Reed. 11 a.m.) SYDNEY, Sept. 22. Replying to Mr Holman's cable inquiring \A r hether there was any foundation for the report that Germany was endeavouring to make separate peace Avith Belgium, Mr Coglan (Agent-General) cables that nothing is known of the matter at the Foreign Office or the Belgian Embassy. The rumour is believed to have emanated from a French source.
The Belgian Embassy states that Belgium will not consider peace overtures Avithout consulting the Allies.
