"GO FORWARD AND DIE."
BRUSSELS RECAPTURED BY ALLIES.
BRITAIN TRANSPORTS 300,000 TROOPS.
Under date London, September 14, the High Commissioner reports to the Prime Minister of New Zealand as follows: — The total distance of the enemy's retreat,,based on latest reports, is 62 miles. General Jo fire's message, "The time "has come to go forward or die," has been received with acclamation throughout France. . '"■■ It is reported that Brussels has been recaptured by an Anglo-Y, French force of 75,000. , ' Already Germany has lost four cruisers, one light cruiser, two\ torpedo boat destroyers, and one submarine. Austria has lost one \ cruiser, arid a German dreadnought and a cruiser have sought safety,- , in the Dardanelles. Britain has lost only one cruiser. Within the next twelve months Britain will have 45 new ships U * of war available. 'I ,-Britain has transported 300.000 men to the Continent, also;:. French troops from Algeria, and has driven the German mercantile] J marine off the sea. . l The Russians do not intend to invest the German fortifications', but will advance through the gaps, followed by a strong rearguard to defend the line of communication.
