There have been many changes in Mau.ngaturo.to of late. Mr Smith, baker, has sold out to Mr Allen; Mr McMillan, blacksmith, to Mr Ha cold Smith; Mr Pole, butcher, to Mr Lord; and Mr Kerr, his farm to Mr Masters. Mr L. Taylor is leaving shortly for Paparoa, and Mr and Miss McNab for their future home in Auckland.
The musical circle has suffered the loss of M.iss'.s Stewart, Hyland, Grant, and Mr liyJer.
Miss Grant, assistant teach?? at the public school, left last week for another school in the Auckland district. Several presentations were made to heron the cv c of her departure.
Sixteen touchers from the surrounding districts i>a'-e been here for a fortnight for j/nyjical drill. A sccial was given to them on the eve of their departure.
