INQUEST ON AN INFANT.
AUCKLAND, Sept. 8
A coroner's inquest on the body of an infant child of Elizabeth Millicent, hotel waitress, was resumed this morning. The coroner found that the child was dead before birth.

Borter Arkwright, who met with an accident on the railway on Thursday, has succumbed to his injuries. INVERCARGILL, Sept. 8.
David Elliott, 46, a greaser aboard the steamer Rotorua, was found dead in his bunk.
WESTPORT, Sept. 8
The body of Joseph Croft, stationmaster at Granity, who was missing since July 10, has been found in the bush. A bottle containing poison was lying alongside tne corpse.
DUNEDIN, Sept
Wm. Scott, 42, miner, was found hanging in the washhouse attached to his residence.
AUCKLAND, Sept. 8
The dead body of Francis Percy Morrin, who has been missing since August 27, was found in the harbour this morning. Deceased was a married man, aged 55.
