AUCKLAND Sept. 1. \.t League football on Saturday New South Wales defeated Auckland by 27 to 2. The visitors played a spectacular game. CHRISTCHURCH, Sept. 1. At Rugby football Canterbury beat Wairarapa by 8 to 3. NEW PLY MOUTH, Sept. 1. At Rugby football New South Wales beat Taranaki by 11 to 9; after a hard ;' game in ideal weather. WELLINGTON, Sept. 1. The Auckland Rugby touring team defeated Wellington on Saturday by 11 to 9, after a highly exciting game. The first spell ended, Wellington 6, Auckland nil. The issue was in doubt right till the bell rang.
