YARRA BAY MYSTERY.

REWARD FOR MURDERER.

SYDNEY, Aug. 27

The Government is offering £100 reward for information respecting the murder at Yarra Bay on August 18th, also a free pardon to any accomplice informing the authorities provided he is not the actual murderer

On the 18th inst. an aboriginal girl, while gathering bottles discarded by Sunday picnickers in the fccrub at Yarra Bay, discovered the body of Charles John Stratton (33), wharflaborer A black tracker found tracks where a couple had been sitting and eating oranges, and also a man's track from the spot where Stratton was found to the spot where an empty cartridge lay. It is stated that Stratton had frequently been seen in the locality by night.
