DISAPPEARANCES.
WANGANUI, Aug. 27
Two cases of disappearance were reported here yesterday. William Osberne, aged 70, went to the river bank to collect firewood on Thursday, and has not yet returned. He had expressed the opinion that life was not worth living. The other case is that of Margaret O'Connor, housekeeper, aged 40, who left her home and has been tracked also towards the river.
