NEW YORK SENSATION.
PLOT TO DYNAMITE A MAYOR. NEW YORK, Aug. 22. Sticks of dynamite were found eutside Mayor Gaynor's offices yesterday. The quantity was sufficient to wreck the City Hall. ' Mr. Gaynor. remained calmly at hie desk while the police drew a cordon around. Faulty arrangements of the fuse klone prevented a terrible disaster. The police believe that there is a plot against Mr. Gaynor, but another i theory is that car-eless workmen engaged in some adjacent excavations left the dynamite around.
