RESULT OF STRIKES.
HUGE FALL IN COAL OUTPUT. DROP IX RAILWAY TRAFFIC. LONDON, Aug. 22. The output of coal in the United Kingdom for 1912 decreased over nine million tons, as the result of strikes. The number of railway passengers travelling in the United Kingdom in the year 1912 decreased by thirty-two millions compared with the figures for 1911, owing to the coal strike and better, omnibus services.
