DESTRUCTION OF CROPS.
SYDNEY, Feb. 8.
Belated reports are coming to hand of the havoc caused in the north by the recent cyclone. Ninety per- cent. of the banana crops in the Tully River, Maria Creek and Liverpool Creek districts have been destroyed. BOOTS FOR THE TROOPS.
MELBOURNE, Feb. 8,
Tenders are invited from makers within the Commonwealth for supplying a hundred thousand pairs of boots to the Defence Department.
