SATISFACTORY BALANCE-SHEET,
LARGE PROFITS,
WELLINGTON, June 6. The balance-sheet presented at the ordinary general meeting of the Bank of New Zealand proprietors on the Ist June discloses a highly satisfactory year's operations. The profits, after providing for expenses of management, debts, etc., is £396,182 5s lid. The amount available for distribution is £30,587 13s sd. This the directors*propose should be disposed of as follows:—A dividend of 4 per cent, on preference shares and 6 per, cent, on ordinary shares; a bonui; at the rate of 3 per cent, on ordinary shares; transfer to reserve fund, £200,000.
