Beef displayed an average yarding at Westfield. The demand was weak, and pricey dropped 10s to 15s per head compared with last quotation. Choice ox beef sold at 25s per cwt; ordinary quality ox at 22s to 235; cow and heifer at 18s to 225. Veal.—A large yarding. Prices slightly lower than last quotations. Heavy sold from £2 5s to £2 15s; choice suckers at 30s to 38s; others, 3s to 20s. Mutton.—An average yarding, which met with a ready sale. Prices were a shade firmer. Choice heavy wethers fetched 18s to 20s; good, 16s 6d to 17s 6d; small, 12s 9d to 13s 9d!; fat ewes, lis 6d to 15s 6d. Lamb.'—A small yarding, which sold at last week's rates. Heavy sold at 14 s to 16s 6d; good, 12s to 14s; light and inferior, 7s 6d to 10s 6d. Pork.—An average yarding. Late values were well maintained. Baconers fetched £3 5s to £2 15s; porkers, 28s to £2 3s. or equal to 5d lb.
