CRICKET MATCHES. Cricket teams from Mauku and Mangonui will be in evidence to try conclusions with local representative elevens, the fixtures being as follow:— Saturday, April 15th.—Northern Beps. v. Mauku, at Hikurangi; Southern Reps. v. Mangonui, at Grahamtown. Easter Monday.—First Reps. v. Mauku.; Second Reps. v. Mangonui. j
Easter Tuesday.—First Reps, v, Mangonui; Second Reps. v. Mauku.
BAND PROGRAMME.
The Pukekohe Brass Band will observe the following programme:—
Good Friday..—Open-air sacred concert, in Mr H. Weaver's paddock, at 2.30 p.m. Sacred concert in the Theatre Royal at 8 p.m.
Saturday.—Open-air selections the town, at 8.15 p.m.
Easter Monday.—Grand Musical Garden Party and Picnic in the Kamo Sanatorium grounds, at. which the Pukekohe and Whangarei Bands will co-operate;
NO-LTCENSE RALLY,
Saturday, April 15. —An open-air meeting under the auspices of the No-license party, will take place in Whangarei, at 7.30 p.m.
Easter Sunday.—Meeting at Hikurangi Public Hall, 8.15 p.m.
Easter Monday.—A meeting of Nolicense Convention workers, will be held in the Presbyterian Hall at 10 a.m.,'there will be a social gathering in Langham House grounds from 2.30 to 5 p.m.; and a public meeting in the Theatre Royal at 8 p.m.; when addresses will be given by Mr Wesley Spragg (president of the New Zealand Alliance), the Rev. J. Dawson- (secretary N.Z.A.), and Mr C. H. Poole, M.P. .for Auckland West.
TRAIN SERVICES. 'Good Friday.—All trains will be suspended.
Easter Monday.—The ordinary timetable will be suspended, and special trains will run as follow, calling at intermediate stations: Leave Whangarei 7.30 a.m., arrive Opua 10.55 a.m.; leave Whangarei 4.20 'p.m.; arrive Opua 7.45, p.m.—Leave Opua 7.20 a.m., •arrive Whangarei 10.50 a.m.; leave Opua 4.10 p.m,, arrive Whangarei '7.40 p.m. A special train will also run to the Brass Band Picnic at Kamo Springs, leaving Whangarei at 10 a.m. for Ruatarigata, and returning from Rua.tangata at 5 p.m. Excursion fares at reduced rates -will be observed in all instances. SKATING CARNIVAL. Yon Easter Monday night the Orpheus ;Skating Syndicate will hold a Carni--val, and a large programme of amusements will be presented. A.non? the events will be a hockey match on •skates, and prizes will be awarded the most graceful lady and gentleman '•skaters and the best costumed lady .and gentleman on skates. v STEAMER TIMES.
