THROWN FROM THE TRAIN.
GUARD'S SKULL FRACTURED
AUCKLAND, Jan. 26
Richard Kemp, guard of the Waikato train, was thrown out of a van whicli had taken the points while it was being shunted at Mercer. Kemp's head struck a sleeper and he sustained a fractured skull. He was sent to the hospital at Auckland for treatment.
