TYPHOID AT NORTHERN WAIROA.

NINE MORE CASES,

DARGAVILLE, Jan. 26

Nine more cases of typhoid fever, have developed in the Maori settlements of Ripia and Naumai since Saturday.

The water in the settlements is obtained from an artesian well, and appears to be quite pure. It is thought that the contagion is the result of kissing rather than defective sanitation or water.
