WELLINGTON, Sept. 22

His Excellency the Governor is to be present at both the afternoon and evening miltary displays in connection with the Dominion Day celebrations on Monday next. Lord Islington is of opinon that it is right and proper that New Zealand should recognise -the anniversary of Ihe day on which the country emerged from its youth to lusty manhood.

Full' Court mourning ceases on September 30. and on Saturday, October 1, his Excellency will give his first Ministerial dinner at Government- House.
