COTTON TRADE CRISIS.
With reference to the cotton spinners dispute, the masters state that picking seeds off the machinery with an awl has'been customary for many years. The denial of the employers' rights to question the grinders' duties aggravates the seriousness of the situation, and masters c'eclare that negotiations with the cardroom amalgation are impossible until the instructions that grinders are to refuse to pick off the seeds are withdrawn
Later:—A joint meeting of employers and" operatives in the cotton trade is being arranged for next week, and the out Took is improving.
