EXCEISIOR RINK, KAMO.
The above rink still continues to be well patronised, and the skaters are steadily improving. Miss E. Whitelaw rinks very prettily. Miss 6. Pritchard has learnt very quickly. Miss J. Wnitelaw will soon be a most graceful rinkist. Miss E. Walton is improving steadily. Miss Lillie Siddall is a regular attendant, and will soon be able to glide round on the rollers. Mr W. Grundy is one of the best gentleman rinkists. Mr S. Shandley moves gracefully round the floor. Mr J. Andrews shows signs of improvement. Master J. White is a flits rate little rinkist. Mr M. P. Whitelaw rinks well. A dance was held at the Public Hall, Kamo, on Tuesday, as a farewell to Mr and Mrs Pritchard ; was -well attended and passed off ' with the usual edict. Bicycle riding seems to have its dangers as well as equestrianism, as we learn with regret ' that our esteemed postmaster met with a very severe injury to his visage by coming into contact with a stonewall. We would certainly ad- ; vise him to carry a lantern at night whether on . the bicycle or off. We hope soon that his face ; Will cease to look as if some professional pulgilist had been practising at it for an hour [ or two. The miners have been at work all this week, ■ and it is to be hoped that this will continue. Philos.
