TOWN BVA.K,V. mE regular meeting of the Kamo Town Board was held on Monday, at the usual hour. There were present Cmrs F. Day, Chairman), T. Wakelin, M. Mclnnis, A. Mtcgregor, and J. Whitelaw. The minutes of the last meeting were read and confirmed. Correspondence from Messrs Bessell and Whitelaw, making an application for the use of the Town Hall for rinking. Grranted. From J. S. Dixon, asking for the use of the Boards' office for a Mutual Improvement Class. Granted for one night per week. Accounts to the amount of £59 13/9 passed for payment. On the application of the Inspector a pipe culvert was ordered to be put in Wakelin street. The Inspector's report showed receipts as follows:— Dog fees. £1 2/6; Pound fees, £1 18/; total £3/6. KENSINGTON EOAD DISTEICT. The meeting of the Board was held at the office of the Board, Mair Town, on Thursday evening, at the usual hour. There were present : — Messrs Eobt. Mair, (Chairman), F. H. Tippett, and M. J. McDonald. The minutes of the last meeting were read and confirmed. Correspondence from the Chairman of the Christchurch vestry meeting, held in May last, making application for a footpath from Mr McLean's gate to the west church gate. The matter was deferred to a full meeting. The Chairman stated that he had recoived a circular H'oai the Chairman of the Otara Road Board asking him to call a meeting of the Chairmen of Eoad Boards in the neighbourhood for the purpose of forming a vigilance committee to watch the action of tho Government, &c. Mr McDonald proposed, " That the Chairman be empowered to act with the Chairman of the "Otara Road Board in the matter contained in the circular." Seconded by Mr Tippett, and carried. Accounts to the amount of £11 were passed for payment. Mr Tippett proposed, " That a rate of one farthing in the £ be levied for the current year. Mr McDonald proposed a rate of one half -penny in the £, which was seconded by Mr Mair, and carried. Resolved that Messrs Mair and MacDonald be empowered to get the gorse and brair cut down.
