THE AMERICAN CUP. THE VOLUFTEER VICTORIOUS:' WON BY TWO MILES. New York, September 30. The second race between the yachts Volunteer and Thistle j for the American Cup, took place to-rday, and resulted in a win for the American yacht by upwards of two miles. During the race a strong wind, with a heavy sea, was experienced. The Volunteer having won two races is declared tho holder of the cup. The betting was 5 to 1 on the Volunteer.
