ELECTION STATISTICS.
A DEPUTY returning officer supplies us with the following : — I herewith fjorward you a concise • summary of the results/of the late election, shewing the number of rotes on the roll for each riding or district, the number actually polled, the per centage, afod how they voted. If the paper is kept unltU another election comes round it
may prove very instructive. It may be seer p that there is a startling discrepancy between th< number of votes on the roll and the numbei 1 actually polled in some districts, notably J Waipu aud Wairoa.
The correct returns give Thompson three votes less, but this will not affect 1 the general correctness of the above statistics. "■
