WHANGAREI TOWN BOARD.
Tecs usual monthly meeting of the Whangarei Town Board was held in the Town Board office, Whangarei, at 7.30 p.m., on Monday evening. Present : Cmrs. Cornea, . Beed, and Scott. On the motion of Crnr. Scott, seconded by Crnr. Beed, Cn. . Comes was elected chairman of the present meeting. The minute., of last meeting were read and confimiec', ,_» T mE-J-?OK_W--No__!. Foster, together with plans and specifications, re the curbing and channelling of Cameron-street. From Mr Thompson, M.H.8., tendering his resignation as chairman of the Board. - *_w- " ;>^ -i " On the motion of Craj, Beed, seconded by G&t; Soffit, it was resolved tocoopegpfe with the Geraldine Town Board in the direction desired. Mr Thompson's resignation was accenjed, and it was decided to advertise for nominations to fill the vacancy. . JSOQVKTB. D. C. Scott, it was resolved : That Cnnv.Cornes sign all cheques. BATES. On the: motion of Cmr. Scott, seconded by Cmr. Beed, it was resolved: That a rate of /£ in the £ be struck at the next meeting. # ..This was all the business, and, the Board adjourned.
