WHANGAREI SCHOOL COMMITTEB.

The usual monthly meeting of *the School Committee was held on' Thursday evening. > * Present: Messrs Wilson 4 (chairman), Broadbent, Doull, Norman, and Main. On the motion of Mr *Broadbent, seconded by Mr Doull, " That the committee have much pleasure in recommending that Miss Steadinan's salary be increased." Carried On the motion of Mr Broadbent, seconded by Mr Norman, "That the accounts, £6 5/10, be passed for payment." Carried. This being the last meeting of the committee, Mr Broadbent moved, " a vote of thanks to the chairman for his past services," which was carried unaminously. 'lhe election of the new committee will take place on Monday, the' 25th of April.
