RIFLE MATCH.
DARGAVILLE V. WHANGAREI. On Saturday last, a match was fired between the Whangarei and Dargaville Rifle Volunteers. The conditions of the match were seven men aside 200, 300, 400, and 500 yards, five shots each range, regulation targets. The scoring was poor on both sides. In Whangarei the weather was bright but the wind was very baffling. Two of the Whangarei " reps." did not turn up, and two emergency men fired in their place. The match is for a medal subscribed for by each team, and becomes the property of "the highest agregatc scorer in the team, which wins two matches Out of three.
