Tho first debate to bo held under tho auspices of the W.E.A. in Wellington took'pbu-o on Saturday', Oct. 2nd, in (be Esperanl-o Hall, Lambton Quay, and was between the students of- the Eeonoinier. MeKenzio Iho After the four principal speakers had stated their case, quito a. number of the students of the class took part. The meeting was confined to tho members of tbo W.E.A. and their friends, tho attendance was rery good, and an instructive and pleasant evening was spent.
