POSSIBLE SOURCE OP DISEASE

SECOND-HAND BLANKETS AND RUGS BAN ON IMPORTATION Wellington, Feb. 3. Although there has been no trade in this particular commodity, the importation of secondhand blankets and rugs into the Dominion is prohibited in a regulation published with the ‘Gazette’ to-night. The objective of the regulation is to prevent the possible introduction of disease, and it brings blankets and rugs into the same category as clothing, the importation of second-hand clothing being already prohibited. The new regulation does not include the personal property of people coming into the Dominion or personal gifts.
