Censorship of Maila The Censorship Department stated yesterday that censorship of mails between New Zealand and Australia had been declining for some time and was no longer in existence when the Canberra statement that the Australian censorship had ended was published. The censorship of mails between New Zealand and the British and United States territories ceased this pmnth except to places within the Japanese war zones. The censorship of mails to Europe will bo reduced progressively as the Governments become established. More Colourful Hedges.

Hedges should be considered as an integral part of any garden, and as such they can be colourful as well as utilitarian (states an article compiled by the horticulturl section of Massey Agricultural College). Balanced against the price factor should be such advantages as colourful foliage, flowers and berries, a deep-rooting system to avoid unduly robbing the topsoil, and ease of clipping. The New Zealand countryas well as suburban gardens and seaside beaches, can be brightened immeasurably by a wise choice in hedges, a choice which can well be made at this season of the year.
