(From Our Own Correspondent.) The ‘‘Richard Morley Shirriffs” Memorial Flag waved proudly in the breeze from the flag-pole in the school grounds during tho two VE Day holidays. The local institute meeting has boen postponed till Wednesday, May 16, on account of the proclaimed holidays. Mr. and Mrs. J. Paul and family, who have been staying with Mr. and Mrs. C. C. Hills, Te Wanaka Road, have now journeyed to W’elliDgton to visit Mr. Paul’s mother. Mrs. T. Swensson has returned from Waipukarau. Alter a lapse of seven years a rovival meeting of the local Tablo Tenuis Club was held last week. Mr. H. Temperton took the ch'-dr. Tho following members wero elected on tho committeo: Messrs R. Morley (secretary), J. Holland, J. Burlace, K. Rowland, R. Francis and B. Adlam. It was decided to continue every consecutive Wednesday evening throughout the 1945 season. It is hoped at a later date that friendly matches with other clubs can be arranged.
