Women’s Baseball

The following players have been selected to represent Manawntu at the New Zealand Women’s Interprovincial Baseball (S) Championships to be held at the Sportsground March 5 to 9i Seniors, V. Drury, D. Schwade, M. Laing, J. Nicol, M. Leash, R. Leasb, D. Mepham, E. Walters, E. Francis, N. Wright, D. Nicol, L. Watkins, M. Hodgson and M. Body; juniors, B. Friss, D. Sheary, L. Steele, W. Waititi, C. Millar, C. Leash, D. Tyley, R. Gold, R. Ropiha, M. Gold, V. O ’Keefe, E. Davidson, L. King and M. James.

At a meeting of the executive committee it was decided that invitations bo sent to all schools to attend the N.Z. v. The Rest game on Friday, March 9. As baseball is a popular sport in all schools such an educational opportunity should not be missod. The secretary reported, that the number of billets offering are not up to expocta : tations, arrangements are well in hand for the ball to be held at the conclusion of the tournament.
