(From Our Own Correspondent.) The Methodist Ladies’ Guild met at the home of Mrs. M. H. Curty. Mrs. W. R. Pratt presided and read an interesting letter from Sister Rita Snow den. A competition was won by Mrs. J. R. Osborne. Mrs. Curty served afternoon tea and was thanked for tho use of her home. Mrs. Craig, of Havelock North, j* visiting her daughter, Mrs. Taylor, of Ridge Road. Mr. L. Gould is having treatment in the Palmerston North hospital and his friends hope that he will soon be about again. Master Bruce Mackay, who has been in hospital for some weeks with rheumatic fever, is improving in health. Mrs. John Jensen and family and Mrs. S. Rutland and family have been holidaying together at Tangimoana. Mrs. Duker, senr., of Rongotea, and her daughter, Mrs. Nolan, of Palmerston North, have been staying with Mrs. D. McNicol. On Friday afternoon, the Plunke: Committee met at the home of the president, Mrs. J. R. Osborne. The children’s afternoon which was postponed front December will be held in Mrs. G. Simpson’s garden on the March Plunket Day and there will be games and competitions for tho children. Mrs. R. Mackay is donating the cool drinks, and the Plunket Mothers will supply the afternoon tea. The annual meeting will be held in April and Mr. Reay Mackay is to be asked to audit the books. After the meeting, Mrs. Osborne served afternoon tea. Mrs. Bremner, of Ballance, is visiting her relatives and staying at present with Mrs. J. G. Cawood.
