Big Fire at Masterton

The most serious’ and spectacular fire recorded in Masterton for years occurred shortly after five o’clock yesterday morning, when the large drapery establishment of Hugo and Shearer, in Queen Street, was completely destroyed. The damage is estimated at many thousands of pounds.
