Rongotea W.D.F.U.

Mrs. Boswell presided over the August meeting of the Rongotea branch of the W.D.F.U. and welcomed two new members, Miss Boswell and Mrs. Orr. Letters from two soldiers in M.E.F. were read by the secretary, Mrs. McKay, in acknowledgement of parcels received. Mr. W. J. Amies wrote thanking the W.D. for gift received for auditing the books for so many years. The Wellington Central Provincial meeting will be held in Feilding on September 8. The stall in charge of Mrs. Gibbons proved to be an excellent effort and most appreciated. The chief hostess for next month will be Mrs. Caverhill and the stall is to be organised bj r Mesdames Stern and Jessop. An amusing competition dealing with nursery rhymes was won by Mrs. Botcher.
