Received Tuesday, 11 p.m. SYDNEY, May 30. The net profit of £873,9G9 disclosed i by the Colonial Sugar Refining Company for the year ended March 31, 1944, is a decrease of £107,632 on the year and is the lowest since 1932-3. The reserves are called upon to meet the dividend charge at the steady rate of 8i per cent, and the dividend amount of £994,500 is £120,531 more than the profit and the carry forward is reduced by this sum to £348,908. Sales of refined products in Australia and New Zealand again totalled more than 500,000 tons.
