National War Savings

The returns for National War Savings in the Palmerston North area were quite interesting last week. Nearly all I the sub-offices did specially well. 'Pahiatua lead with £lll7 6s, then came Dannevirke (£450 10s 9d), Levin (£375 7s), Feilding (£223 11s), .and Foxton (£lO2 12s). Of the smaller offices, Rongotea furnished a pleasant surprise I with £349 Ss. The towns obtaining ! their quota this week were: Palmerston North, Apiti, Dannevirke, Feilding, Foxton, Levin, Pahiatua, Pongaroa, Rangiwahia, Rongotea, Weber, and Woodville. Tho district flag is also flying.
