(From Our Own Corresponeent.) Farewell Evening On Monday evening the hall was filled for the social and dance given in honour of Flying Officer Bill MacLeod, who was on short leave. Dancing was enjoyed for the greater part of the evening, while a comedy produced by Mrs. Vautier proved a highlight of the evening, the players being members of the W aiata Women’s Institute, the Misses Daye Bridgeman, Jean Redshawe and Mrs. Vautier. The presentato the guest of honour on behalf of Colyton residents was made by Mr. N. Shortall, who congratulated Flying Officer MacLeod upon his successful in the Air Force. Mrs. Bruce McLeod (W aiata), representing the Ladies’ Patriotic Society, requested Flying Officer MacLeod to accept a token of appreciation. A raffle under the auspices of the Patriotic Society was drawn, the lucky ticket-holders being Mesdames W. D. Williamson and H. Shepherd.
