.Limited Supply of Tennis Balls Referring to the supply of tennis balls Hon. D. G. Sullivan said he had discussed the matter %vith interested organisations and with the Factory Controller and it had been agreed to release to clubs and owners of private courts a limited number of tennis balls for civilian use during the next' season. To ensure an equitable distribution the disbursement of this limited supply would be in the hands of the New Zealand .Sports Goods Agents’ Association acting in collaboration with the councils of spOrts set up by the Minister of Internal Affairs. The quantity of tennis balls to be released under this arrangement would bo in addition to the supply that would be distributed by the Health Department to convalescents of the Armed Services including United States Forces. Mr. Sullivan said the supplies of raw rubber were very low in New Zealand and the present release had been made possible by the production of reclaimed rubber in the Dominion.
