Interhouse Drama Festival Opens

Excellent entertainment was offered a large audience at the Opera House last evening in the plays presented on the opening night of the Little Theatre Society's Inter-house Drama Festival. The adjudicator is Mrs. Lorna Bristow, formerly of Palmerston North aud now of Edgeeumbe, Bay of Plenty, who gave helpful criticisms of the plays at the end of the programme. Introduced by Mr. E. J. Smith, president of the Little Theatre. Society, Mrs. Bristow congratulated the society on their initiative in inaugurating such a festival which was public spirited and of great social value. She praised the firms for entering into the project so wholeheartedly and heads of businesses tor cooperating. To-night the Palmerston North City Library team, Public Trust and Post Office Players will be seen in action in three good plays and Mrs. Bristow will announce her placings.
