Escapees From Martinique For Fighting French
Received Sunday, 8.30 p.m. NEW YORK, June 26.
Approximately a thousand refugees from Martinique have arrived in New York after escaping individually or in groups to various Caribbean islands, where a steamer collected them. They include 600 planning to join the Fighting'French and also 342 sailors and merchant seamen.
