Red Fleet Sinks 2,000,000 Tons of German Shipping

Received Tuesday, 10.25 p.m. LONDON, Mar. 8. The Russian Navy has sunk 771 German ships of an aggregate tonnage of 2,000,000 since the war began, says the Moscow radio. In addition it has damaged 216 vessels. The Baltic fleet in one engagement in the Gulf of Riga sank two destroyers and 13 transports, also auxiliary vessels carrying tanks, and burned another 13 transports.
