The annual meeting was held on Tuesday afternoon. Devotions were led by ! Mrs. J. Penketh, the temperance fact was supplied by Mrs. W. A. Boniface, and . the correspondence was read by Miss Sutherland. It was agreed to send letters ' expressing good wisues and Cnristmas 1 greetings to sick members, and those who: were not aole to attend often on account of advancing years. The report on the year’s work was presented by the record- [ ing secretary, Miss Tnompson, the bal-. ance-sheet presented by Mrs. Ciariage, ■ the hospital visitors' report by Mrs. Wnite, “White Ribbon” report, by Mrs. Carter, the cradle roll report by the president (in the absence oi the superintendent, Mrs. Stuart), the good citizenship report by Mrs. Claridge. The president cordially thanked all officers for their faithful work during the year, saying how much their services had been appreciated. The election of officers ior 1943 resulted: —President, Miss Jamieson; vice-presidents, Mesdames T. R. Hodder, E. A. Collins, E. Carter and A. Smith; recording secretary, Miss L. C. Thompson; corresponding secretary, Miss M. Sutherland; treasurer, Mrs. A. Smith, assisted by Mrs. Renton; hospital visitors, Mesdames White and Purvis; “White Ribbon” agent, Mrs. Carter; devotional superintendent, Mrs. J. Penketh; scientific fact superintendent, Mrs. W. A. Boniface; cradle roll, Mrs. Stuart, assisted by Miss Connelly; good citizenship department, Mrs. Claridge; reporter to “White Ribbon,” Mrs. Renton; pianist, Mrs. Boyes. Beautiful floral sprays were presented to the president and vice-presidents by Miss Thompson (secretary), who was in turn presented with one by Mrs. Renton.
