! Members of the Police Force at Palmerston North gathered on Tuesday to bid farewell and good luck to Detective-Sergeant W. E. Fell, who left yesterday on transfer to Auckland with promotion from the rank of detectiveinspector H. Scott made a presentation to the departing officer, conveying to him the felicitations of his associates at this centre, and these remarks were endorsed by Detective-Sergeant A. B. Meiklejohn, Senior-Sergeant J. Mcln tyre, and other members of the detective and uniform branches.
