Arrangements '■< for the exhibition of arts and crafts and ; clothing for the Lady Galway Guild, ■ have been finalised and is to take place s in Mr. Ghappels shop, on the corner of < r Manchester and Fergusson Streets, t c from May 1 to tho Bth and all proceeds i o will go to tho local Patriotic funds. I e Eighteen patriotic "parcels have so far : been sent in and after discussion it was < li decided to send 31b parcels to all I r. soldiers from -whom acknowledgments e had been received. It 2 was decided to give a donation towards 0 the Patriotic Exhibition Shop, at Peild--9 ing. Mesdames Camplin and Small o were elected as delegates to attend the 0 Oroua Council meeting. It was ar- ® ranged to hold tho birthday next month . on tho afternoon of the Institute rneetling which will bo held at tho residence 2 of Mrs. E. Pearce, Mrs. Camplin offered 0 j to make the birthday cake, and Mrs. 0 ' Small also offered to give a cake for 0 competition. A demonstration will be J | given on soft toys. Competitions resulted:—Shortbread, Mrs. T. D. Stokes, j 1,2 and 3; best flower, Mrs. W. C. Small jj 1, Mrs. Johnson 2, Mrs. Camplin 3. The 7 stall was carried on with the usual good 7 business. A guessing competition was l won by Mrs. Johnson. Afternoon tea 7 was served by the hostess, Mr 3. 7 Johnson. 7 MILSON 4 Mrs. Murphy presided over the April meeting. Mesdames Childs and Carne 7 were elected delegates to the lialfyearly council meeting. Airs. Gore 7 (link correspondent) read an intcresi--7 ing letter from the Isle of Wight. Au- £ other interesting talk on India was 7 given by Miss Greenwell, general secro--7 tary of the Y.W.C.A. Ducts by Mcs--7 dames Bingham and Sadd and solos by 7 Miss Guy were much appreciated. Circle 7 reports were given by Airs. Campbell (sewing), Miss Terry (drama), Mesi dames Bingham (singing), Wood (soldiers’ parcels) and Penketh (hospital visiting). For the next two weeks Atesdaraes Johnston and Thomson will be tho hospital visitors. It was decided |U to commence a Home Nursing class with Mrs. O’Connor as convenor and to bo held on the fourth Wednesday in each month in conjunction with the arts and crafts and gardening circles. The •a- next meeting to to lake the form of a :or social afternoon, each member inviting at a friend. Tho hostesses for the May ud meeting will be Alesdames Brioriy, ral Bartlett, Brown, Brill, J.
