Feilding Branch W.D.F.U.
MONTHLY MEETING Mrs. W. G. Booth presided over ine December meeting of the Feilding branch of the W.D.F.U. held in tlio division’s rooms yesterday afternoon. A motion of sympathy with Mrs. Frouse in her husband’b illness Avas passed, together with best wishes for his speedy recovery. The committee decided to donate three soldiers’ parcels, while the sum of £2 2s was voted to the leper appeal. The housekeeper’s report disclosed that there had been four applications for housekeepers, two of these being filled. A rej&rt on the provincial meeting recently held was read to members. The president voiced thanks to all those who had assisted towards the success of the branch’s birthday celebration. Mrs. Booth representative on the local National Savings Committee, explained the workings of the group and stressed that all members should play their part by opening an account.. The next meeting of the branch will be held on February 6. The meeting closed with the exchange of festive greetings.
