The following are the results of the games played in the basketball competition:— Saturday, August 9. Men’s A grade: Physical Welfare 39 v. 2ZA Cubs 12; Rascals won by default from Y.M.D. Men’s B grade: Hi-Y’s defaulted to Y.M.D.; 2ZA Cubs 2S v. P.D.C. 17. Monday, August 11. Ladies’ A grade: H.S.O.G. BO v. Manawatu Canvas Co. 8; Glaxo 29 v. Cosmo 2; Garners won by default from G. and B.; Public Service won by default from Broadway. I Ladies’ B grade: Hutchins 13 v. Libertyland Aces 12; Y.W.C.A. won by default from Economic; Home Cookery won by default from Exclusive. Men’s B grade: 2ZA Cubs 23 v. P.D.C. 5.
