Contempt of Youth For Nazi Regime

Evidence is accumulating of spirited resistance to Nazi donnnatiom oy tne young people of tne occupied territories, xno pro meins of resentiiu scnooi-chiidreii are demonstrated oy continual Nazi-inspireu proclamations against the irienasaip for Britain auown by youth in various countries. Throughout France the authorities are calling upon young people to renounce tnese sentiments and they complain that the de Gaulie movement is attracting to its ranks the flower of French youth. The Belgian newspaper Cashandre, which is German-controlled, attacks the propaganda activities of schoolmasters and professors who encourage youths to leave school and homes in an effort to reach England to enlist. In Holland there are continual reports of youths sent to prison for a contemptuous attitude to the Nazi regime. Four youths between the ages of 16 and 17 were sent to prison for turning their backs on the showing of a Nazi propaganda -film. Similar action was similarly punished in Denmark, while in Norway seven girls were expelled from school for anti-German utterances.
